Bear volunteers will you?

Put your skills to use, learn new ones, and contribute to an amazing life-experience for you and your local community.
Give young people the skills they need to succeed in life and discover how being a part of the Scouting family can be as rewarding for you as it is for them.

If you'd like to know more about joining our team, please get in touch with John or one of the Section Leaders.

You don't have to be available every week, we can work with whatever time you can offer. Several of our Leaders commit to just 2 or 3 evenings a month.

We are also well practised in dealing with problems caused by unexpected late running meetings and the vagaries of TfL Rail and the M25!

If helping "behind the scenes" is more up your street, we are always looking for volunteers to help with building/grounds maintenance and a variety of administration tasks.

Meet The Leaders

All the Leaders in the Group are volunteers - they do not get paid for what they do in Scouting. They give their time because they feel that it is important that all young people have the chance to be a part of the Scout Movement, and because they enjoy it!

Each section in the Group has a Section Leader who is responsible for the running of their section. They are helped by Assistant Leaders, Section Assistants and Young Leaders.
John, our Group Scout Leader, supports all the Group’s Leaders.

All adult leaders must supply personal references and are subject to a satisfactory DBS (formerly CRB or Criminal Records Bureau) check. All Leaders have to undergo training, including first aid, and all appointments are subject to regular review and renewal.
