Welcome to 1st Weald Brook Scout Group.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more.
Each week, we give young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.
We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.
We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always.
We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Based in the west of Brentwood, we are fortunate enough to have our own well equipped hut and large adjacent field enabling us to provide a fantastic quality programme for over 60 young people equiping them with skills for life.

Through the fun, challenge and adventure of Scouting, young people get to try exciting activities in a safe environment and have their first taste of responsibility. We give young people experiences they will never forget. The sort of adventure we offer is the chance to experience something different and the opportunity for young people to discover their potential.

When a Beaver Scout wakes up the morning after a sleepover (perhaps their first night away from family), or a Cub Scout has just helped build and "sail" a coracle, that’s adventure.

Our members start at ages 6 in Beavers, 8 in Cubs and 10.5 in Scouts. Our adults start at 18 and there is no upper age limit!

Everything the Group does relies on volunteers. Whether it’s leading or helping at section meetings (more leaders would help us to clear the waiting list!), looking after the hut, grounds and equipment, helping with administration or raising money, we’d love it if you want to get involved!
