The Exec(utive Committee)

All the sections, along with the Group in general, are managed by our Group Scout Leader, Bernard, – who in turn is line managed by the District Commissioner.

The Group itself is a registered charity, and as such is managed by a board of trustees known as the Executive Committee (or "Exec").

The Exec is made up of volunteers, mainly leaders or parents of children in the Group, and exists to manage the Group’s funds and assets. It is chaired by Martin Bateman.

The Exec is responsible for maintaining our building, supporting the leaders in delivering a high quality programme for our members and managing the finances of the Group.

We are always looking for new members to join our Executive Committee or to help with the many small tasks that running a successful and active Group involves. Please contact us to find out more or see the vacancies board in the hut.

The "vacancies" board in the hut shows our most pressing needs, but regular or "one-off" help with our building/grounds maintenance and general administration is always welcome.
