Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts Beaver Scouts are our youngest members, with a core age of 6-8 years.

Beavers enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; making friends and trying new indoor and outdoor activities.
They have the opportunity to be creative, care about and explore their local community, play games, learn about themselves, investigate the natural and man-made worlds, go on visits and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover or Camp with their friends.

Our varied programme is based around the 6 Challenge Badges that Beaver Scouts can gain by attending the weekly meetings:

• My Adventure Challenge Award
• My Outdoor Challenge Award
• My Skills Challenge Award
• My World Challenge Award
• Personal Challenge Award
• Teamwork Challenge Award

Beaver Scouts who achieve all the Challenge Badges, along with 4 activity or staged activity badges, will receive the highest award – the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award.
